Airlines and Ferry Information

Prince of Wales Island and Craig Alaska are served by both water transport and commercial air from Ketchikan, Alaska. Ketchikan Alaska is located near 90 minutes north of Seattle by air.

Seattle to Ketchikan

All direct flights to Ketchikan originate from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington State. Alaska Airlines is the only carrier currently providing jet service to Ketchikan. During the summer at least 4 non-stop flights arrive daily in Ketchikan from Seattle, starting early in the morning through late afternoon, so further connections to the Island are convenient.

Ketchikan to Craig

After arrival at the Ketchikan airport, several scheduled carriers provide differing connecting services to the Craig area and Prince of Wales Island, as follows:

By wheel plane from the airport to the Klawock Airport – about 15 minutes from the Lodge.
Island Air Express 20-30 mins ± 1-888-387-8989 or

Didn’t find the flight you wanted? Besides the scheduled carriers noted above, many air charter services are available between Ketchikan and Craig, and will leave at a time of your choosing. The Lodge staff is very familiar with all available modes of transportation and their connectivity. We will be happy to advise or assist you in any way possible so that you may secure the reservation that best meets your needs.
